DAN Preferred™ Plan Takes Diver Insurance Protection to a New Level

Policy Overview

Many DAN Members have asked for even more insurance protection than the DAN Master Plan insurance offers. Well here it is. DAN is now offering the DAN Preferred™ Plan with increased benefits and some entirely new ones.

One of the first things current DAN Members will notice about the DAN Preferred Plan is that it includes $250,000 (per occurrence) coverage of all covered in-water skin and scuba diving injuries to any depth.

Beyond the coverage increase, DAN Members who choose the DAN Preferred Plan also get:

• up to $10,000 (lifetime maximum, subject to a $250 deductible) worth of Medical Non-dive Accident Coverage – for eligible charges for the treatment of injury due to a non-Diving Accident that occurs outside an insured person's home country
• up to $10,000 (lifetime maximum, subject to a $250 deductible) worth of Diving Vacation Cancellation coverage – for insured person’s losses that incur for a trip cancelled before departure due to a sickness or injury that would impair the ability to dive
• up to $5,000 (lifetime maximum, subject to a $250 deductible) of Diving Vacation Interruption coverage – for insured person’s losses that incur for a trip interrupted after departure due to a sickness or injury that would impair the ability to dive

You must be a DAN Member before choosing a DAN insurance plan. DAN Member benefits include $100,000 worth of TravelAssist coverage, a subscription to Alert Diver and the opportunity to support dive safety research – a worthwhile cause for all divers.
