DAN Launches Live Webinar Series

DURHAM, NC – May 13, 2020 – Divers Alert Network® (DAN®) has launched a series of live webinars set to stream weekly via Facebook Live on the DAN Facebook Page.

Subject matter experts from DAN’s Research, Risk Mitigation, Medicine and Membership teams will give presentations on topics relevant to divers, dive professionals and dive business owners in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

The first two webinars of the series are already available on Facebook and YouTube. If you haven’t already, check out Disinfecting Scuba Equipment by DAN Risk Mitigation Coordinator Chloe Strauss and COVID-19 Research and Potential Implications for Diving by DAN Director of Research Frauke Tillmans, Ph.D.

This Wednesday, May 13, at 3:00 p.m. ET, DAN will be streaming another webinar by our Risk Mitigation team featuring Chloe Strauss and DAN Director of Hyperbaric and Underwater Safety Francois Burman, Pr.Eng. They’ll respond to some of the most frequently asked questions from the past few months and give tips for getting back to business and diving safely in our new normal. DAN encourages viewers to share these videos as a means of alerting other diver of important safety information.
