DURHAM, NC – July 15, 2025 – Along with the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS), Divers Alert Network® (DAN®) is proud to present the Fall 2025 Continuing Medical Education (CME) course, which will be held at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort in Bonaire, October 11-18, 2025.
This accredited course will include lectures, case presentations, support materials, and both formal and informal discussion sessions with faculty. And of course, there will be plenty of time for diving. The course is designed primarily for physicians, but nurses, paramedics, and other medical professionals, as well as instructors and divemasters who are interested in dive medicine, may also find the course valuable.
The program focuses on diving and hyperbaric medicine with emphasis on the latest scientific literature in the field. At the end of this course attendees should be able to discuss and clinically apply facts relevant to:
- Medical and physical fitness to dive
- Diving safety issues and current research
- Hyperbaric medicine: applications, protocols, and mechanisms
- Decompression physiology and pathophysiology
- Diving injuries and their management
- Controversies in diving medicine
