The Underwater Adventure Seekers dive club will celebrate its 65^th Anniversary on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt, Maryland. The Anniversary Committee has planned a luncheon and awards ceremony that will commemorate an organization that has significantly impacted the scuba diving and local communities.

The Underwater Adventure Seekers (UAS), a Washington D.C. based organization, was founded in 1959 by Dr. Albert José Jones. It is one of the oldest dive clubs in the world and is the founding club of the National Association of Black Scuba Divers (NABS). To date, NABS has blossomed to over 2,000 members across the country and internationally.
