International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame Inducts DAN

DURHAM, NC – November 10, 2023 – The International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame (ISDHF) inducted Divers Alert Network® (DAN®) during its 20th annual induction ceremony in Grand Cayman on September 29. ISDHF recognized DAN with an Early Pioneer Award for the safety organization’s contributions to the scuba diving industry during its 44 years of service.

This year’s other inductees include Jill Heinerth, Avi Klapfer, Jim Gatacre, and Tom Ingram, as well as Local Honouree Gay Cokendolpher-Morse and Emerging Honouree Kameron D’Hue.

“It’s an honor not only to be recognized by the ISDHF, but also to be inducted in the company of such accomplished people,” said DAN president and CEO Bill Ziefle. “We appreciate the work that ISDHF does to celebrate education, innovation, and historical preservation in the dive industry, and we’re glad for the opportunity to be a part of it.”

During the ceremony DAN made a contribution of $5,000 to the Bob Soto Scholarship Fund, which was created to help Caymanians pursue their dreams of becoming dive instructors, further fostering a vibrant diving community.
