Divers Alert Network (DAN) is proud to announce a new partnership with the Department of War (DoW) SkillBridge Program, reinforcing our commitment to supporting service members as they transition from military to civilian careers. Through this partnership, DAN will offer several structured SkillBridge training pathways designed to provide meaningful, mission-driven experience:
- Customer Experience and Service Operations: Participants will analyze service delivery systems, map member journeys, evaluate feedback, identify operational friction points, and support service improvement initiatives across member services, safety support, and emergency assistance workflows.
- Medical Operations & Clinical Coordination: Participants will gain exposure to global medical operations, including evacuation planning, repatriation coordination, case management, and interdisciplinary communication. This is a supervised, non-clinical training role with no independent patient care responsibilities.
- Project Management & Operational Support Fellowship: Participants will develop project management competencies aligned with PMI frameworks while supporting supervised project work across DAN’s operational areas.
- Research & Scientific Support: Participants will engage in DAN’s core research areas, including diving physiology, injury and fatality monitoring, and diving epidemiology — contributing to data-driven efforts that advance diver safety and population health.
The DoW SkillBridge Program enables active-duty service members to gain valuable civilian work experience in their final months of service. At DAN, participants will apply their leadership, technical expertise, and operational mindset in a globally impactful environment. This partnership reflects DAN’s commitment to building a strong pipeline of talented professionals while supporting service members in successfully transitioning to civilian careers.
