JOB SUMMARY
The agent must develop an exemplary knowledge of the DAN programs and be able to assess a clients’ need for DAN’s specialized commercial insurance products: primarily professional liability and commercial general liability insurance for the scuba industry. The agent must also maintain a high standard of customer service while effectively responding to questions and providing program details through phone calls and emails.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately discuss and clearly explain commercial insurance coverage and benefits to insureds
- Maintain extensive knowledge and understanding of all DAN products and services

JOB SUMMARY
Our membership organization is seeking a full-time insurance agent to join our Member Services team. Reporting to the manager of membership & personal insurance, this person will play a critical role in providing access to different insurance plans to meet the individual needs of DAN members.
Working as part of a team, the agent must maintain a high standard of customer service while effectively responding to questions and providing program details through phone calls and emails. The candidate will be able to work within deadlines and have good problem-solving skills. A key attribute for this role is the ability to troubleshoot and provide support to members while providing a high level of customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promptly respond to daily incoming calls, voicemails, mail, and email correspondence
- Accurately and clearly explain membership and personal insurance policy benefits and retail products
- Provide data entry support for DAN Member Services, including entry of new and renewing membership information, processing of online applications and product orders, and problem-solving/troubleshooting data entry processing
- Enroll and/or renew members, complete product orders, track member orders, and update member records

JOB SUMMARY
Work daily in a vibrant and welcoming non-profit company environment with a diverse staff and a culture centered on helping the health and safety of scuba divers worldwide.
Your daily activities will mainly be to provide dive-related health and safety information to laypersons and medical professionals through phone calls and emails to help them better decide on their medically-related diving issues and questions for themselves and their patients.
On your onboarding, you will probably have to study and learn much about diving and diving medicine, but don’t worry; our four-month on-the-job training program is well-designed and paced to help with that.
Our medical call center is a semi-open office space taking half of the building’s 2nd floor, with 90 sqft individual cubicles, all at the south-facing glass wall of the front facade. Employees have seating/standing workstations with ergonomic high-back office chairs, double large computer screens, and phones with state-of-the-art noise-canceling headsets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be responsible and on time for all your shifts at the office or from home.
- Be polite, respectful, knowledgeable, and friendly to everyone, focusing on customer service.
- Using your EMT experience, always provide the most accurate and evidence-based health information to clients, constantly relaying on the interaction and support from your colleagues and supervisors.
- Thoroughly document all your interactions with clients; all calls are recorded to help you with this.
- Constantly seek to update your knowledge and collaborate for the team’s collective knowledge.
- Help identify opportunities and propose solutions to increase the efficiency of our services.
- Contribute to collecting, compiling, analyzing, and publishing relevant medical information.
- Be able to participate in on-site and off-site public speaking at medical and diving events, when invited by the company´s leadership.
WORK SCHEDULE
- The DAN medical services are 24/7/365 and may require schedule adjustments to guarantee it.
- The typical schedule of a DAN Medic is currently as follows:
- Four weekdays in-office shifts from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a lunch break.
- One weekday on-call shift at home from 5 pm to 11 pm.
- One Saturday on-call shift at home from 9 am to 11 pm every five weeks.
- One Sunday on-call shift at home from 9 am to 11 pm every five weeks.
- One level of tiered rotated backup coverage to the same on-call shifts described above.
- All DAN Medics can freely swap their shifts with their colleagues in mutual agreement.
- During the initial on-the-job training program, the trainee will follow a traditional Mon-Fri 8:30 to 5:00 in-office week.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is required
- Advanced and Paramedic levels are preferred
- A college education is preferred
- Scuba diving certifications are preferred

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
Customize, maintain and develop data solutions to meet the company needs, and work on building our proprietary software built on the .Net/MS SQL framework.
You will be required to understand the functionality of all existing data structure as well as independently develop new features and integrations into the existing platform.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recommend data solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
- Install revised or new database systems by proposing specifications; recommending ideal access techniques; coordinating installation requirements.
- Design, implement, and maintain high availability databases in accordance with end project’s needs and views
- Define users, and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner
- Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.
- Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
