[SPONSORED] Aggressor Adventures® Announces Exclusive Tubbataha Expedition with Leading Marine Scientists

Dive one of the world’s most pristine reefs alongside the experts who study and protect it.

AUGUSTA, GA — Aggressor Adventures® is proud to announce a rare and immersive expedition to Tubbataha Reef, taking place June 13–20, 2026, aboard the Philippines Aggressor. This special departure offers guests the unique opportunity to explore one of the world’s most extraordinary marine ecosystems alongside globally respected scientists and conservation leaders.

Joining the voyage will be the Director of the Tubbataha Management Office, along with two distinguished marine experts whose work has helped shape global understanding of reef biodiversity.

Dr. Kent Carpenter of Old Dominion University is one of the foremost ichthyologists studying marine biodiversity in the Philippines. With research in the region dating back to 1975, Dr. Carpenter has played a critical role in documenting reef fish populations in Tubbataha since 2018. He is widely recognized as co-author of the landmark 2005 study that identified the Philippines as the “center of the center” of global marine shorefish biodiversity.

Dr. Klaus Stiefel, a marine biologist, underwater photographer, and author, has been based in the Philippines since 2014. With teaching experience at both the University of the Philippines and Silliman University, Dr. Stiefel brings a unique combination of scientific expertise and visual storytelling, offering guests a deeper understanding of reef ecosystems both above and below the surface.

“This is more than just a dive trip—it’s an opportunity to connect with the science and conservation efforts that protect these incredible ecosystems,” said Sabine Camacho, Reservations Office Manager of Aggressor Adventures®. “Having experts of this caliber onboard creates a truly enriching experience that very few divers will ever have the chance to be part of.”

Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Tubbataha Reef is renowned for its dramatic coral walls, abundant pelagic life, and exceptional biodiversity. Accessible only by liveaboard, the remote reef system remains one of the most pristine marine environments on the planet.

Throughout the expedition, guests will gain behind-the-scenes insight into ongoing research, reef monitoring, and conservation initiatives. Combined with Aggressor’s signature service and up to twenty dives on this itinerary, the experience offers a powerful blend of adventure, education, and exploration.

With limited availability and high anticipated demand, this exclusive departure is expected to fill quickly.
