DAN Wins Three Silver Awards for Excellence in Advertising

DURHAM, NC – January 21, 2025 – Divers Alert Network (DAN) earned three silver awards at the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Triangle Awards ceremony on February 26, 2025. As a local chapter, AAF Triangle participates in the prestigious American Advertising Awards — the advertising industry’s largest national competition, which celebrates creative excellence and receives over 40,000 entries annually.

AAF Triangle honored DAN with silver in the “Elements of Advertising – Cinematography Campaign” category for a video series featuring underwater filmmaker Andy Casagrande. Renowned for his work on Shark Week, Casagrande is a wildlife cinematographer, producer, and television host who has been a proud DAN member for over 20 years. The two short videos, “Preparation” and “Worldwide,” showcase why he believes every diver should be a member. The series was part of DAN’s “Every Diver” marketing campaign, which promotes DAN membership by highlighting the organization’s safety programs and proven track record of supporting divers in need.

DAN also received two silver awards in the “Elements of Advertising – Illustration” category for original artwork designed for DAN store products: the Eagle Ray Dive Towel and the Octopus Water Bottle.

Following these AAF Triangle distinctions, DAN’s award-winning entries may advance to the American Advertising Awards’ district and national levels, where they will compete with top creative work from across the country.
