DAN will celebrate a milestone this week as its official podcast, The DANcast, reaches its 50th episode. Since its launch in January 2025, the podcast has evolved from a new initiative into a trusted platform for diving knowledge and storytelling. Created to support DAN’s educational mission, The DANcast delivers safety insights through engaging conversations that combine practical knowledge with firsthand experiences. The podcast aims to help listeners deepen their understanding of diving and make more informed, safer decisions.
Over two seasons, The DANcast has connected divers around the world with experts, innovators, explorers, and industry leaders. Short-form episode highlights have generated more than 1.3 million video views on social media, and full-length episodes have received more than 100,000 streams across YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
“The DANcast allows us to bring together remarkable people from across our industry,” said Brian Harper, vice president, marketing and communications, at DAN. “Reaching 50 episodes is an exciting milestone, and we’re grateful to the guests and listeners who have helped make the podcast a success.”
The DANcast has featured conversations with physicians and researchers advancing dive medicine, technical divers pushing the boundaries of exploration, innovators developing new equipment technologies, filmmakers and photographers documenting the underwater world, and dive professionals training the next generation of divers. Through these diverse perspectives, the show explores the advances, challenges, and human experiences that continue to shape modern diving and the future of the sport.
